Purple Pachyderm 14×18 inch Acrylic on Watercolor Paper

Purple hues go really well with Elephants, I think. I did this piece back when I was first experimenting with using acrylic paints watered down to get a watercolor effect. I love how the hot press paper absorbs the paint and adds texture, especially in the background!

This 14×18 inch painting of a basilisk lizard is done in acrylic paint on hot press watercolor paper.

Matted to fit a 18×24 inch frame.
