Forest Fungi 30×40 inch Acrylic Painting

I don’t often paint large, but this subject matter really lends itself to a larger format.

Viewing mushroom gills from underneath, changing the color palette, and increasing the scale can really change your perception of what you’re looking at. Is it coral? Or are they mushrooms? It almost becomes an abstract piece.

This painting was done in May of 2023, in acrylics on canvas, and is 30×40 inches.
